Six elegant multi-functional rooms offer a total of 19,200 square feet of space in which to set the state for an incomparable function. The Pierre can accommodate events of any scale and complexity, from a small family gathering to an evening built around an elaborate theme. The rooms offer the exclusivity of a private entrance, as well as unique features that can only be found at The Pierre such as trompe l’oeil murals and immediate views of Central Park.

With a total of 19,200 share feet and 6 banquet rooms and 3 boardrooms , The Pierre can accommodate events of any scale, from an executive boardroom to a banquet for 800 people. The rooms offer the exclusivity of a private entrance, as well as unique features such as trompe l’oeil murals or views of Central Park.

The Pierre offers six elegant event rooms for hosting events and weddings. Located just across Fifth Avenue from Central Park, The Pierre has been the undisputed choice for New York’s most notable weddings for eight decades offering the charm and comfort of a European residence, accented by 1930s detailing and trompe l’oeill are. The luxurious ballrooms which are in a prime New York location on the exclusive Upper East Side neighborhood offer a lavish culinary experience, unrivalled service and newly renovated guest rooms make a wedding at The Pierre unlike any other.

PLANNING A WEDDING AT THE PIERRE
The bride-to-be will have the luxury of a hotel Catering Manager dedicated to her every need from the day she selects The Pierre until the big day and every moment in between. The first meeting with the planner includes a tour of the banquet space as well as the bridal suite, groom’s suite and rooms for the wedding guests. Discussions will also include menus, linens, glassware, flatware, china, staffing, and per-person budget for the hotel and for vendors to The Pierre. Depending on the size of the event, and subject to season and availability, a magnificent suite is provided for the bridal couple, with our compliments.

Menu selection is also customized to the couple’s every specification. Menu planning includes a tasting during which the couple has the opportunity to sample all elements of the menu.

The hotel has preferred partnerships with vendors and suppliers, however, the client is able to bring in their choice of vendor excluding lighting company. Outside kosher caterers are allowed.

All 189 guest rooms, including 49 suites, are transformed to feature a warm, inviting residential-style décor with a feeling of quiet luxury. High ceilings and abundant natural light evoke a gracious, airy experience that mirrors the new interiors. Color palettes, comprised of soft neutral tones in pale ivory, taupe and coral, are contrasted with rich woods and tufted leather headboards and matching benches. Richly textured silk and brocade fabrics in elegant neutrals with tasteful accents of color adorn upholstery, pillows, draperies and bed throws. Guest bathrooms have been enlarged to accommodate a floor-to-ceiling glass-walled shower with oversized showerhead and a marble-clad soaking tub.

The Hutton Suite

Named in honor of the industrialist E.F. Hutton who partnered with Charles Pierre to finance the hotel, the suite was occupied by his niece, Barbara Hutton, as her Manhattan pied a terre for five decades. The suite features two gracious seating areas in front of a decorative fireplace. The dining area and pantry are ideal for entertaining. The master bedroom offers expansive windows. The gracious suite is named in honor of John Paul Getty, the oilman who bought The Pierre in 1938 and owned it until it became a cooperative. With a lovely master bedroom and bath, living room, dining room, and service pantry, the Getty Suite also offers the hotel’s second terrace. The Escoffier Suite

The Escoffier Suite honors August Escoffier, the father of modern French cuisine. Mr. Escoffier created an elaborate menu to honor the grand opening of the hotel and then stayed on as a guest chef during the hotel’s first few months of operation. The Tata Suite

The Tata Suite is The Pierre’s Presidential Suite, named for the Taj Hote’s parent company, Tata, India’s preeminent business group. The Tata Suite, on the hotel’s 39th floor, offers stunning views of Central Park. The 1,980 square foot suite features an expansive living room, two bedrooms with baths, a dining room with custom silver leaf table which seats eight, and a pantry kitchen. The Tata Suite may be combined with other rooms and suites to provide up to 6 bedrooms and a private floor.

The Pierre is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Maccioni Group; they have opened a new restaurant at The Pierre called Sirio Ristorante New York. Sirio Ristoratnte New York is named after the legendary restaurateur Sirio Maccioni. It will be the sister restaurant to Sirio Ristorante Las Vegas, and part of the Maccioni’s group of restaurants that includes Le Cirque and Osteria Del Circo.

Sirio Ristorante New York

The Pierre is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Maccioni Group; they have opened a new restaurant at The Pierre called Sirio Ristorante New York. Sirio Ristoratnte New York is named after the legendary restaurateur Sirio Maccioni. It is the sister restaurant to Sirio Ristorante Las Vegas, and part of the Maccioni’s group of restaurants that includes Le Cirque and Osteria Del Circo.

The restaurant space has been renovated by hospitality interior designer Adam Tihany. Sirio Ristorante New York has enlisted a Michelin rated Italian chef named Filippo Gozzoli from Italy, who will offer a menu of traditional and contemporary dishes with Florentine, Tuscan and Parisian influences.

The restaurant decor is inspired by Federico Fellini’s film La Dolce Vita of Italy in the 1950s and 1960s. There are warm tones accented with black and white images of Italy.

The new menu features traditional and contemporary Italian dishes inspired by Sirio Maccioni’s youth in Tuscany. There will be antipasti and appetizers, as well as pasta plates and robust entrees. The dishes are intended for family-style sharing in a casual environment. A fresh raw bar and a carving station is available. The wine selection will include Italian vintages, with a knowledgeable sommelier readily available during dinner service. There will also be a lively bar scene featuring talented mixologists.

Sirio Restorante’s Chef, Filippo Gozzoli, is an Italian-born chef that has worked Rome, Florence and Milan, as well as London and Los Angeles. He is joining Sirio from the 25 room Hotel Relais et Chateaux Villa del Quar in Verona, Italy, where he was the Executive Chef of the 2-star Michelin restaurant Arquade. He was also the Executive Chef at the Park Hyatt in Milan for six years.

Sirio Maccioni is a famous restaurateur who owns and runs the celebrated restaurants: Le Cirque, Circo and Sirio. He was born and raised in Montecatini Terme, a Tuscan town in Italy. He later moved to New York City and worked at several high profile restaurants, including The Pierre’s La Foray Supper Club. In 1974, he opened Le Cirque in the Mayfair Hotel, which earned culinary awards and attracted a celebrity following. Throughout his long career, Sirio Maccioni has helped launch the careers of many celebrated chefs including David Bouley, Daniel Boulud, and Jacques Torres. Today he runs six restaurants in the US, Mexico and India with wife and three sons Mauro, Mario and Marco. Sirio Ristorante New York will be the restaurateur’s seventh restaurant and third in New York City.

Two E Bar / Lounge

Two E Bar/Lounge is a residential-style lobby lounge by day with The Pierre’s coveted Afternoon Tea that transforms into a stylish art deco bar with modern cocktails and gourmet bites by night with a no-cover jazz series every Tuesday evening.

Two E Bar/Lounge features classic and traditional cocktails meticulously crafted from the freshest ingredients, a wine list that introduces little-known producers, a coffee bar and afternoon tea. A menu from Executive Chef Ashfer Biju complements the many beverage options, with light fare and small plates to share available until Midnight. Ever-changing custom music playlists created for Two E will subtly shift the mood from day into evening.

Afternoon Tea
Every afternoon, Two E offers Afternoon Tea from 3PM – 5PM, with a choice of Traditional Tea Service with finger sandwiches, freshly baked Ginger Scones with Devonshire Cream and Meyer Lemon Curd and pastries, such as Coffee Rum Opera Cake, Mini Lemon Meringues and Mini Fruit Tarts; or Sweet Tea Service, with freshly baked scones and pastries. Both tea services include selections from a variety of fine black, green and herbal loose teas from around the world. As an alternative, the bar and lounge also offers a Coffee Bar serving French press coffees, espresso and cappuccino.

Design Elements
The space, formerly the executive offices and originally the hotel’s reading room, retains its original architectural features including ceiling details and columns, and is highlighted by an invitingly sophisticated design by Alexandra Champalimaud.
