Spa

The Metropolitan, Bangkok, understands its guests are on high-octane schedules. To counteract the pressure, we have opened a COMO Shambhala health club at the hotel – our largest city retreat yet – dedicated to your continued wellbeing.

Fitness Center

Private fitness instructors are available on request (advance reservations are required). Cybex and Life Fitness equipment and a naturally-lit gym are provided.

Complimentary fitness classes are conducted daily at the yoga studio. Please refer to COMO Shambhala reception for class schedules. Private instructions for fitness training, yoga or stretch class are also available at any time with advance notice.

Accommodation

City Room

These comfortable, airy rooms perfectly reflect the Metropolitan’s clean-lined style. The queen-sized bed is flanked by an L-shaped teak bench and the bathroom has a combined shower bathtub.

Studio Room

These light-filled, king-bedded rooms offer generous desk space and a comfortable sitting area loaded with Thai silk cushions. The limestone and mosaic-tiled bathrooms have separate tubs and showers.

Metropolitan Room

These are among the largest deluxe king or twin-bedded rooms in Bangkok. Furnishings include a Ming-style teak chair. Limestone and large bathrooms have separate showers and bathtubs.

Terrace Room

These ample rooms include a large private patio with clean-lined landscaping, a relaxing sitting area and refreshing outdoor shower. Inside find a king-sized bed, an L-shaped teak bench and work desk.

Executive Suite

With a connecting living room and bedroom, ensuite bathroom and separate guest WC, these suites are among our bestsellers. You have a choice of a continue living area or a well laid out space for meetings.

Penthouse Suites

Approached via a private corridor dressed with antique teakwood carving, Chinese ‘horse shoe’ chairs and temple bells, our four duplex king-bedded suites on the hotel’s 11th floor are drenched in sunshine.

Electronically operated Thai silk curtains open to reveal excellent pool or city views. There is an open-plan living space with a Helen Yardley rug and Patricia Urquilo sofa, a spacious working area and Jacuzzi.

A 24-hour private butler service is available with these suites.

Como Suite

On the 11th floor, this duplex two-bedroom suite has exceptional views and comes with personal butler services. Both bedrooms offer king-sized beds and large walk-in wardrobes. Bathrooms feature Jacuzzi tubs and separate showers.

The suite also features a living room suitable for corporate meetings or family lounging, a dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a generous working area and two guestrooms. Interior highlights include a red lacquer cabinet and a custom-designed, hand-blown ceiling light.

Gastronomy & Bar

Nahm

David Thompson, famed for the award-winning nahm restaurant at The Halkin hotel in London, has opened his first restaurant in Bangkok. Serving authentic Thai food, this major new address for the capital will be popular with both locals and visitors alike.

Standout dishes incorporate rare ingredients from all regions of Thailand. These include a Coconut and tumeric curry of blue swimmer crab with southern lime. There is also a colourful array of traditional salty and sweet Thai desserts and an extensive wine menu.

Located on the ground floor of the Metropolitan hotel and looking out towards the pool, guests are able to dine within the cool interiors, or on the terrace. There is also private dining rooms, ideal for corporate or social events. nahm Bangkok is open five days a week for lunch, and seven days for dinner.

Lunch opens from 12.00 – 14.00 hrs weekdays only (Monday to Fridays).
Dinner from 19.00 – 22.00 hrs daily.

Glow

For light, healthful dining, the Metropolitan Bangkok offers a trailblazing address for the Thai capital. glow, located adjacent to our COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, offers a menu based on our COMO Shambhala wellness cuisine.

Menus feature delicious meals, energising juices and blends rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals. This healthful slant is in line with the COMO Shambhala menus available at all COMO properties.

Met Bar

Bangkok’s Met Bar provides an intimate, exclusive place to party late into the night.

From 4pm to 9pm, the Met Bar serves tapas selections and Mediterranean-inspired dishes to a high-flying crowd. At night, it morphs into a sultry, lounge-style members bar with deep-club chairs and wine-dark walls.

Bar staff create innovative cocktails while headline DJs spin eclectic lounge sounds from around the world. All this is enjoyed under moody lighting and amidst the company of like-minded sybarites.
