Pools and Gardens

Set in nature’s paradise, between the Atlantic Ocean and The Twelve Apostles Mountain Range, the hotel is surrounded by breath-taking views of the Table Mountain National Park, a World Heritage Site, as well as views of the protected marine park where whales, dolphins and other marine life can be spotted playing in the azure waters.

Relax in the heated infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean or gaze at the mountain from the rock pool and heated Jacuzzi behind the hotel. A fully serviced tanning deck and 10 hammocks in the Fynbos gardens are ideal for lazy days soaking up the sun. One of the hotel’s many unique attributes is our indigenous garden which blends into the mountainside. Both pools have a special menu which is serviced by The Café Grill, for delicious light meals and café-style fare. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary sun block that is provided at the pools, along with refreshment stations of fruit ,water and a selection of magazines for your reading pleasure.

Mountain Walks And Picnic Sites

Hotel guests are able to stroll straight from their rooms onto the mountainside to take in some fresh air and spectacular sea and mountain views. The Table Mountain National Park, a World Heritage Site, offers uninterrupted views and the hotel has created several packages for unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Have a delicious picnic on a specially laid out picnic site, toast romance while the sun sets into the Atlantic Ocean or simply let the kids run wild in the open space. And while you feast your tastebuds on the food and your eyes on the stunning natural environment, know that you’re giving back to society, as all picnic baskets have been purchased from the Cape Town Society for the Blind. Hotel guests are free to explore the various mountain trails – from 10 minutes to 45 minutes in duration – with a map from our Concierge desk, or enquire about our complimentary Sports Buddies, programme which allows for a staff member to join you as you hike through the Fynbos.

Business Center

Our state of the art, 24-hour complimentary Business Centre, located off the lobby, is available to all hotel guests. There are two desks, each with a computer, printer and a refreshment station offering thoughtful details such as dried fruit and mineral water, as well as tea and coffee on request. The Business Centre offers complimentary internet and the entire hotel has complimentary wireless Internet if you prefer to work from your room. The Business Centre also has a fax, black and white photocopier and secretarial services as available on request. Shipping and packaging, laminating and binding can be arranged directly with our concierge deck at an additional cost.

Cinema

The Twelve Apostles operates an intimate, 16-seater cinema/screening room available to both guests and non-guests, with it also being available for exclusive private hire. Each month a new schedule of movies is set, running five times a day and may be accompanied with breakfast (10h00), lunch (15h00) and dinner (17h30/20h30/22h30).

Our unique Dinner and a Movie package allows motion picture lovers to enjoy an evening of wining and dining in the award-winning Azure Restaurant with a specially-created movie menu, followed by a screening of a film in the private cinema. For those who would like to choose their own movie, we have a varied selection of classics, comedy, adventure, drama and foreign films. Sink into plush red leather seats with state-of-the-art flat screen Dolby surround sound, and a lavish assortment of goodies, including popcorn, ice cream, hot chocolate, milkshakes and candy.

Presidential Suite

The Presidential Suite

The magnificently appointed Presidential Suite of 151 square meters offers a private lounge and 8-seater dining room with every conceivable luxury. The principal bathroom and bedroom afford sweeping uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, Lions Head and the Twelve Apostles Mountains. A wood panelled study or dressing room and second bathroom add to the luxury of the suite.

The private and tranquil wraparound terrace offers a perfect setting for cocktails or a private dinner. The recently re-decorated suite encompasses a free standing antique marble bath, cool white marble floors throughout with under floor heating. Chandeliers are imported from Italy and walls are adorned with antique mirrors and a fabulous collection of South African Masters works of art. Mosaics and finely carved panels adorn the floors, walls and ceilings.

You can choose to dine in the Azure restaurant with its magnificent sea views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our Executive Chef, Henrico Grobbelaar and his team will infuse your taste buds with organic ingredients chosen daily from our own herb garden and the local markets, depending on the season.

For lighter fare try The Café Grill which is open 24 hours a day, and has a choice of delicious fresh salads, light snacks, grilled meat and fish. If you have your own personal favourite dish, all you have to do is ask!

For breathtaking sundowners head to the Leopard Bar. Our head barman keeps a wide range of vodkas and ports, and will create cocktails using your own favourite ingredients, or you can have Tea by the Sea with all the trimmings, an event of such magnificence that it’s become a local tradition.

For a really unique experience, join us for a Dinner and Movie evening. Dine in our stunning Azure Restaurant followed by an intimate viewing of a classic film at our private cinema.

Azure Restaurant

Savour the finest indigenous and international cuisine on offer in our extremely popular Azure Restaurant. Henrico Grobbelaar, our Executive Chef, is on hand to create a variety of exquisite dishes including meat, seafood and vegetarian options. From our delightful entree seletion or the delicate fresh oysters to main, your taste buds will be infused by the finest of organic ingredients. Round off the perfect meal with a delightfully sweet dessert, Bea’s double baked cheesecake, taken on our stunning terrace overlooking the ocean will truly allow you to experience the magic of Azure!

The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You may also care to sample from a selection of wines through dinner to assist you in your choice with your meal.

The Cafe Grill

Our al fresco styled eaterie offers a casual and relaxed dining experience and enjoys fabulous sweeping views of the mountain range framed by the natural beauty of the indigenous flora.

Its flexible menu and 24 hour access means you can enjoy a California styled menu at any hour, including a breakfast if you are still functioning in a different time zone. Enjoy anything from tasty salads and sandwiches to the most honest hamburger in Cape Town or a piece of grilled fish caught fresh on the day. During summer we offer an extensive ice cream menu and fresh fruits and in winter an equally appealing potjie selection.

The Leopard Bar

The perfect place to relax with friends, family and colleagues whilst enjoying live entertainment from Monday to Saturday evenings. Proven to be an extremely popular place to be for locals as well as guests, we offer a fully stocked bar featuring many different cocktails. A fine selection of cognacs and an impressive collection of ports are available, as is a wide selection of cocktails including the fashionable “Cosmo” and Vanilla Chocatini; a martini made with Stolichnaya vanilla vodka and white crème de cacao, garnished with a chocolate flake and maraschino cherry. Our professional bar tenders are on hand to take your order and will even create a cocktail using your favourite ingredients!

The Leopard Bar is also a great spot to enjoy “Tea by the Sea”, a delicious afternoon tea with all the trimmings including chocolate brownies, cream scones, finger sandwiches and a selection of the best teas and coffee made something of an institution with the locals.
