Just a short drive from Melbourne, Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel is a heritage listed Victorian mansion set in the Yarra Valley, amidst beautiful established gardens dating from 1854.

The luxury period accommodation contains 32 suites and the award winning Restaurant- Eleonore’s- and boasts some of the best rural vistas in Victoria. The lounges and sitting room are a showcase for fine paintings and antique furniture.

The Hotel is situated on 250 acres of land with a 2.7 kilometer frontage to the Yarra River. It enjoys spectacular views across the Yarra Valley- Victoria’s premier wine-growing region- to the Great Dividing Range. The Heritage listed gardens have undergone significant rejuvenation including the restoration of the antique bronze crane which is the centerpiece of the formal front garden. The accommodation suites are individually decorated with different color schemes. Each suite boasts magnificent views from private balconies or verandahs, marble bathrooms, deep clawfoot baths in the River Suites or relaxing spa baths in the Stable Suites, Yarra Suites and the sumptuous Yering suite. A swimming pool, tennis court, petanque, and country walks through vineyards, cozy guest lounges with open fireplaces and the Beauty Room add to the relaxing and charming atmosphere.

River Suite

The River Suite offers very spacious accommodation, with 38 square metres of space (406 square feet) plus a private outdoor area. Each suite is individually decorated and has a king-sized bed, antique furnishings and a marble ensuite with a claw-foot bath and separate shower. With its majestic ambience and an emphasis on comfort and style, this elegant room is sheer luxury.

Designed with spaciousness in mind, the Yarra Suite is 48 square metres (522 square feet) in size. The luxurious bedroom offers a king-sized bed and the marble ensuite is complete with spa bath and separate shower. The generous and comfortable sitting area is complete with antique furnishings and leads out onto your private balcony with sweeping views of the Yarra Valley.

Yering Suite

The Yering Suite is Chateau Yering’s Signature Suite and is approximately 60 square metres (651 square feet) in size.

The Yering Suite, has its own private staircase leading up to a large sitting room, is tastefully furnished with antiques and complemented with a gas log fireplace. The luxuriously appointed marble ensuite boasts a corner spa bath and separate shower, and the bedroom comes complete with an antique half tester bed and walk-in robe. The sitting room and bedroom have a balcony facing the gardens & distant hills.

The Hotel’s two restaurants offer fine local produce skillfully prepared by Head Chef, Mathew Macartney and his team, complemented by outstanding Yarra Valley wines from our historic cellar built in 1840.

Eleonore’s Restaurant

Eleonore’s Restaurant is an elegant fine dining restaurant with a menu designed by our Executive Chef Mathew Macartney to delight your taste buds. The creative choice of ingredients and their daring combinations will ensure your fine dining experience in Eleonore’s Restaurant will be long remembered.

Eleonore’s is open every evening from 6.30pm. Guests not staying in the hotel are very welcome, however reservations are essential.

The ideal location for any special occasion!

Dress Code: Smart casual, gentlemen to wear a collared shirt. No denim.

Sweetwater Café

The conservatory style Sweetwater Café with its casual ambience is open from 7.30am daily for breakfast. Breakfast is a complementary component of our packages and consists of a full cold buffet and an a la carte fully cooked breakfast. (Outside guests are welcome, however reservations are essential).

Sweetwater remains open until 3.30pm and offers delicious morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Our cafe lunch menu is a modern Australian style and includes pasta, Caesar Salad etc. and is ideal for, a quick bite or a leisurely lunch.
