This area is now reserved for smokers, who have been forced to light up outside the building since 2008. Today, the Brasserie Lutetia’s former grill-room serves as a backdrop to this Fumoir with a Cuban accent. Havana and its sun-drenched colors imbue this charming space with a warm and welcoming ambiance, while the leather divans and armchairs invite guests to sit back and relax, enjoying the scents and sensations of tobacco.
A remnant of its culinary past, the stove hood now houses a robust air extraction and circulation system. A place of honor is reserved for the jewels of Cuba in one of Hotel Lutetia’s most emblematic works of art: L’Ernestine by Philippe Hiquily. Veritable humidor, a prized possession of the hotel for many years now, L’Ernestine is called back into service to the delight of cigarillo, Dominican and Cuban aficionados.

Themed Suites
The OxyGène Suite by Chen Man
For 2011, the Hôtel Lutetia has continued in its commitment to making known the work of contemporary photographic artists. After the 4 Rotondes suites in partnership with the Maison Européenne de le Photographie, the Hôtel Lutetia has collaborated with Chen Man to create the OxyGène Suite.
An international icon in the fashion world, Chen Man presents a richer, more complex analysis of beauty and style, going beyond conventional fashion photography. She explores contemporary themes, inspired by traditional Chinese elements, which allow her to decipher society from the inside. Barely 30 years-old, she has exhibited in many of the world’s largest museums: her photograph “Astronaut” was chosen in 2008 to publicize the “China Design” exhibition at the V&A Museum in London.
The suite consists of a bedroom and a large lounge area comfortably furnished with a sofa and armchairs. Creating a typically Parisian atmosphere, the classic Art Deco furniture combines with superb views through the windows that are either on the hotel’s façade or face the internal courtyard. The suite has a bathroom in marble with a bath and separate shower.

Comprising two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large sitting room that is filled with works of art by Arman; this striking suite is a testimony to the flamboyance of this great artist.
