Spa

The Norfolk hotel in Nairobi, Kenya offers extensive recreation facilities. The outdoor heated pool is surrounded by lush gardens. Separate facilities for men and women include changing rooms with showers, steam bath, sauna, restrooms and treatment rooms. Towels are provided here, along with mattresses for the sun beds. An attendant mans the pool from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Health Club

The Health & Fitness Centre is located above the poolside restaurant. Trained professionals staff the facility. Services include aerobics classes, one-on-one training and registered massages. The fitness centre offers state-of-the-art equipment including free weights along with treadmills, lifecycles and nautilus machines. Separate spa facilities for men and women include changing rooms with showers, steam bath, sauna, restrooms and spa treatment rooms.

All guest rooms are tastefully furnished with a lavish king/queen sized bed, plush arm chair and coffee lounge table, and a private ensuite marble bathroom. The rooms are complemented with a 32″ Plasma screens and an executive working desk with HSIA.

The well appointed rooms and suites have been lovingly restored over the years to offer luxurious modern facilities, whilst maintaining their historic charm and unique personality. The latest renovations completed in June 2012 include the recently refurbished Delamere Wing and the ongoing refurbishment exercise in Acacia Wing, to unveil modern features including chic mini cabinets, multimedia hubs and rainfall showers encased in frameless glass cubicles.

The Duplex Suites are split level accommodations with each suite offering a private en-suite 4-piece bathroom with a separate shower stall. The guest bedroom is located upstairs, with reading desk and small sitting area.
The sitting room is located downstairs and offers a dining table as well as a delightful bay seating area overlooking the Fountain Gardens. Additional amenities include in-room safe reading desk. All suites are luxuriously furnished, have plush carpeting and deep velour soft furnishings.

Signature Suites

The lavish 9 signature suites are very spacious luxuriously furnished accommodations with plush carpeting and deep velour upholstered furniture. They offer one King bed, HSIA, a large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower stall, a separate sitting room and a separate changing room. They also have an in-room safe and trouser press, and in addition to the regular bathroom The suites also offer cotton balls and weight scales. Each individual suite carries with it a characteristic Kenyan historic significance, as they are each themed from influential makers in colonial Kenya.

Karura Suite

These only two of a kind suites are located in the historic Karura wing and aptly named after Sarah and Abraham Block who are part of the founders of our105 year old hotel. With a breathtaking elevated view of the courtyard, the two suites boast of very large terraces. With a separate sitting lounge from the bedroom the suite offers HSIA, in room digital safe 32” flat screen televisions for comfort. The 2008 renovated suites have a plush unmistakable finish, queen beds and spacious 4-piece bathroom.

Cin Cin Wine Bar

Tatu Restaurant

A contemporary American steak house, featuring dry aged premium Kenyan Angus beef cooked sustained wood, as well as a variety of coastal seafood and the finest Kenyan Produce.

Tatu Patio

A new addition to The Norfolk Hotel, the Tatu Patio extends off the Reception and Business Center areas. Although still a part of the Lord Delamere Restaurant, the Patio seats an additional 60 people, and is ideal for cocktail parties and private dinner parties.

Swimming Pool Restaurant

Elevated from the pool, the Poolside Restaurant has an outdoor canopied space. One side faces the pool whilst the other faces the Mugumo gardens. It is an ideal site for cocktail parties, group luncheons and dinners. The Poolside Restaurant is also the perfect setting for intimate, leisurely lunches. Light refreshments and drinks are served throughout the day, besides an a la Carte lunch. Seating capacity is 50 people.

Lord Delamere Terrace

Having proved to be a popular rendezvous since 1904, the Terrace and Bar have been patronised by almost all the first European pioneer settlers. Steeped in history, the Terrace continues to be a favourite watering hole. The Terrace accommodates guests for meals and casual drinks. At the far end is a delightful bar, visited regularly by Kenya’s old and new ‘safari-hands’! They serve a cosmopolitan à la Carte menu (including continental, Chinese, Italian and Asian) as well as beverages, spirits and cocktails. A special children’s menu is also available. Seating capacity is 182 people.
