Gastronomy & Bar

Millesime

The Carlton Hotel’s signature, full service Murray Hill restaurant, Millesime, is a seafood brasserie, presenting guests with a straightforward menu highlighted by both bold and delicate French cuisine. 2 Michelin Star Executive Chef Laurent Manrique draws inspiration from the classic seafood dishes found throughout France, utilizing only the freshest, seasonal ingredients sourced from local waters and nearby farms. For guests craving a small bite, Executive Chef Manrique has crafted a menu of small plates ideal for sharing. For those looking for something a bit more substantial, this Murray Hill restaurant also offers a Burger Millesime, Croque Monsieur and the Salon Club. The elegant upstairs dining room features a 100-year-old mosaic floor; a Tiffany Dome skylight, red banquettes, a marble raw bar and an open kitchen allow you to peek in on the culinary team at work.

Millesime’s entrance is accessible through The Carlton Hotel’s lobby, which first leads to the Lobby Bar or a private entrance on the corner of 29th and Madison Avenue. Located on the mezzanine level.

Salon Millesime

Guests are invited to gather at the Murray Hill bar and sip artisan cocktails, like the music inspired Train Wreck or perhaps a Tin Pan Alley favorite, the Night & Day, while enjoying French and Mediterranean inspired small plates by Chef Laurent Manrique.

At the center of this Murray Hill restaurant is a performance stage complete with baby grand piano and DJ kit, featuring a state-of-the-art Bose sound system for unparalleled musical pleasure. Nightly performers include artists from far corners of the globe to nearby neighbors, young students to iconic legends. When not performing live, there is a select roster of DJ’s the likes of Carol C, Erika and Sir Shorty. Please click here to find out more about Salon Millesime’s live entertainment.

Salon Millesime is located on the lobby level.

Bar Millie

Intimately annexed from the restaurant, Bar Millie is the balconied lounge that overlooks Salon Millesime. With the marble corner bar acting as the focal point and a collection of antique furniture accenting the space, it is the perfect spot for a social, after-hours drink or a private party. Reminiscent of an old French parlor replete with turn-of-the-century burlesque images, Bar Millie is an ideal perch for relaxing, chatting and drinking with good friends. Silk chairs, leather sofas, a handcrafted marble bar and traces of the past hang in the air like ghosts of Prohibition. It’s a nostalgic portal to an era when automobiles had curves, women were dames, men wore hats and a deal was sealed with a handshake. The room, with its vaulted ceiling and wood panels, is a place that encourages you to linger over drinks and trade glances as music wafts throughout. Seven hard shakes with a cocktail shaker and you’re transported back to the splendor of Broadway, Tin Pan Alley and luxurious hotel lounges; back to the world of F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Great Gatsby.

Bar Millie is located on the mezzanine level.

Lobby Bar

During the day, guests are invited to grab a coffee, tea or any other beverage or light bite from the lobby bar and take advantage of our complimentary WIFI or watch a game on the flat screen TV.
