Our exclusive Fitness Center has been designed to fit the busy lifestyle of our hotel guests. Located on the second floor, The Lowell Fitness Center accommodates a central workout room overlooking East 63rd Street. Top of the line Exercise equipment includes 3 Trotter 645 Treadmills, Stairmaster, Concept II Rower, Ergo Pro 535 Stationary Bike, Cybex: (Recumbant Bike, Leg Extension, Chest Press, Lat Pulldown, Low Pull, High-Low Cable, Bent Leg Abdominal Board, 45 Degree Back Extension), System Free Weights, 2 Weight Benches, and Exercise Mats. The spacious serene environment features contemporary prints by Louis Stettner. Special amenities include complimentary Health Snack Station, with bottled waters and fresh fruits.

Open daily 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Additional health and fitness facilities or a private trainer may be arranged by contacting the hotel’s concierge.

Junior Suite

Lowell Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite

Lowell Deluxe One-Bedroom Suites are located on floors 6, 7 and 14-16 and were renovated by Michael Smith. These suites were redone in a soothing palette of colors; each features a separate living room, five of which have wood-burning fireplaces and kitchens, and large beautiful bedrooms. Two suites also have private terraces. Garden Suite

One of four Specialty Suites which was recently renovated by acclaimed interior designer, Michael Smith. This one-bedroom suite offers a city rarity with its two terraces – one, a sitting area with a fountain and the other, a cozy dining area. Using a palette of soft blues and greens, the chosen fabrics are Cowtan & Towt, some from Smith’s eponymous line of textiles. Many of the elements evoke nature, such as the bedroom’s floral 18th-century Chinese inspired wallpaper by Oplontis, the kitchen’s limestone floor and the hardwood floors throughout the living area. All the suite’s artwork is photographic landscapes from Lumas by David Burdeny, Douglas Busch and Manfred Paul. The Suite features a living room with wood-burning fireplace and a library of books on garden topics. One of four specialty suites, the Hollywood Suite is quite generous in size totaling more than 1,000 square feet. The suite features two full bathrooms and original artwork. One of four specialty suites, the Manhattan Suite is quite generous in size totaling more than 1,000 square feet. Combining classic American cooking and his own Asian/European-inspired technique, Executive Chef Michael Fred of New York’s famed Lowell Hotel on the tony Upper East Side creates contemporary and sophisticated new American cuisine using the absolutely freshest seasonal and regional ingredients available.

On an ordinary day, Chef Michael might dish up Gotham’s most superb orange-vanilla infused French toast or exotic curried lamb kabobs, or even (homegrown) young zucchini blossoms stuffed with Blue Claw lump crab. By creating dynamic, yet classic fare that combines unusual ingredients with classic techniques, he continues to enhance and expand appreciation for fine cuisine in Manhattan.

Pembroke Room

Gracious warmth and style envelopes The Pembroke Room at The Lowell. Nestled in a serene setting on the second floor, The Pembroke Room is one of New York City’s best kept secrets and is favored by those that meet for power breakfast, as well as weekend brunch, afternoon tea and cocktails.

Afternoon tea in The Lowell has become a New York social ritual. Guests can indulge themselves with traditional scones and Devonshire cream, finger sandwiches, fresh berries and cream, pastries and petit fours, and more than 20 select teas from around the world. Hors d’oeuvres and spirits are also available.

The Pembroke Room can accommodate up to 70 guests for your event, or inquire about our unique Specialty Suites for smaller gatherings.
