Located on Avenida Vieira Souto in the heart of Ipanema beach, Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro combines the glamour and sophistication of Rio’s most coveted address with the Fasano commitment to excellence.

In his first hotel arquitecture project, Philippe Starck chose to reflect the heyday of the Bossa Nova era in the 50’s and 60‘s, when Ipanema blossomed into the city’s most charming neighborhood.

The hotel caters to both leisure and business travelers, offering the latest in-room technology. Guests can experience the exquisite Fasano cuisine at the elegant Fasano al Mare restaurant and enjoy signature poolside cocktails by the infinity pool, which overlooks the ocean. The unique view comprises the Morro Dois Irmãos, the Arpoador and Corcovado in one sweeping landscape.

Gastronomy & Bar

The culinary tradition of the Fasano family is the foundation of the group’s hotels. In Rio de Janeiro, the hotel is served by three restaurants: Fasano al Mare, haute Italian cuisine with a seafood flair; the poolside bar, for guests who prefer to take their meals poolside; and Baretto-Londra, a bar and nightclub with DJs and music every night.

Fasano al Mare

The culinary tradition of the Fasano family finds a home in Rio de Janeiro at Fasano Al Mare, harmonizing perfectly with the marvelous city. Lead by restaurateur Rogério Fasano, the kitchen is run by chef Luca Gozzani, who joined the Fasano team from the Michelin three-star Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence.

The refined menu features the diverse aspects of Mediterranean cuisine, with a special focus on seafood. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in the main dining area as well as the inviting terrace.

Designed by Philippe Starck to offer beautiful views of the sidewalks of Ipanema, the restaurant also has a private dining area, concealed by white linen curtains, a Starck signature. Scandinavian tables are arranged under a splendid Murano chandelier.

Baretto-Londra

Ranked by Wallpaper magazine* as the number one hotel bar in the world, Baretto-Londra is the “Carioca” version of the celebrated bar in Hotel Fasano São Paulo, featuring expertly-crafted cocktails and a selection of light dishes. It honors the city of London, Rogério Fasano’s favorite metropoils,- Londra being the city’s Italian name. The bar hosts live performances and renowned DJs in a rock & roll pub-like atmosphere.

Two large British flags, colored with the red, green and white colors of Italy, are prominently displayed, alongside framed vinyl record covers, hand-picked by Rogério Fasano from his personal music collection, to decorate the walls.

With its intimate atmosphere, the Baretto-Londra is the ideal spot for a night out in the city. It’s open from Monday to Saturday and showcases classic rock in addition to a carefully selected variety of small shows.
