Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, located conveniently next to Tokyo station, offers you a relaxing retreat in the heart of Tokyo. As you arrive at the splendid hotel lobby on the 28th floor, you are drawn into the legends of Shangri-La, a mysterious valley, as written by an English novelist in 1933.

All 200 guest rooms are spacious, ranging from 50 square meters in the deluxe room to 269 square meters in the stately Presidential Suite. All the guest rooms, offering sweeping view of Tokyo, are decorated and furnished elegantly and comfortably.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La draws inspiration from the origins of the Shangri-La legend, a place of personal peace, enchantment and well-being.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, features six serene private spa suites in a tranquil corner of the hotel. Two specialty suites offer exquisite views over Tokyo. CHI, The Spa Tokyo offers an extensive spa menu consisting of award-winning CHI massages and treatments brought from other locations, as well as Kisetsu therapies inspired by Japan’s unique appreciation of the different seasons.

In traditional Chinese philosophy, “chi” or “Qi” is the universal life force that governs well-being and personal vitality. For people to maintain good health, it is believed that “chi” must flow freely within the body and, when blocked, “dis-ease” and illness follow. Movement is therefore a key element in releasing blockages. Body massage, exercise, stretching, hydrotherapy, and movement of the mind through relaxation and meditation combine to assist the body’s natural renewal and form the basis of the CHI spa philosophy.

The Health Club at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo offers a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art fitness equipment and facilities. Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool on Level 29 operate daily and are available free of charge exclusively for resident guests. The facilities include gymnasium, swimming pool, jacuzzi and rain forest shower as well as male sauna and steam sauna for female guests. Fitness and swim wear are available for complimentary rental.
* No children under 12 years of age will be allowed at the swimming pool area unless they are accompanied by either a parent or an adult. Children under 4 years are not permitted in the swimming pool.
