Fitness and Health Club

A stay in a small, boutique hotel doesn’t mean you have to forego your fitness routine. Our partnership with the nearby LA Fitness Platinum spa and health club (five minutes walk away in Pelham Street, South Kensington) gives you all the facilities you need. A day pass to LA Fitness includes free use of the club’s swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, exercise studio, cardio theatre, and fitness room. Plus you can also book a personal trainer and a crèche/kids’ club.

Jogging

If you prefer to run in the fresh air of a traffic-free environment, there are miles of jogging trails in Hyde Park. Our concierge will be happy to give you maps and directions or click below to download our jogging map and our tips for joggers.

Your stay at the five star Egerton House Hotel takes you back to a more discerning age – a time when service, hospitality, and elegant accommodation were held in high esteem. Although the entire hotel has been refurbished and upgraded with fine fabrics and antique Italian furnishings, none of the character has been lost. The rooms retain the grandeur and exclusivity of the townhouses of which they were once part.

Each of our 28 bedrooms and top-floor studio suites casts its own spell. Some are richly flamboyant, others are altogether more peaceful. No two are alike, yet all share a single-minded approach to luxurious city escapism and a glorious night’s sleep.

All rooms have hand-stitched mattresses, down pillows and duvets or 200-thread Egyptian cotton sheets. They also include a well-stocked minibar, an iPod docking station, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and air conditioning.

Among the many unique features of this small jewel of a hotel is a glorious collection of original artworks from artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Toulouse-Lautrec.

Classic Double

Each Classic Double Room is an exercise in individuality, a distinctive design statement based on fine fabrics, imaginative furnishings, and original works of art. Deluxe Queen

Deluxe King

Our designers have made full use of the space and the grandeur of our Deluxe King Rooms. Each one is an exuberant statement of style and opulence lit by full-height bay windows that catch the afternoon sunlight. These are the rooms that guests fall in love with – and come back to, time after time. Choice between king and twin-bedded rooms.

Suites

V&A Suite and The Garden Terrace

The décor in this luxurious King Bedded Suite with separate Lounge area takes you back to the time of the Tudors, featuring unique furniture and lavish fabrics that dress the room. Ideal for families, this suite features two comfortable sofa beds. The separate sitting lounge has floor length French doors that open to the private outside Garden Terrace, where guests can spend their day surrounded by the quietness and privacy of the Egerton Gardens. The V&A suite, fit for royalty, is packed with additional amenities such as an espresso Tassimo machine, a Garden Terrace Cocktail Bar where guests can mix their favourite drink and a Games & Toys cabinet for delight of both adults and children.

Studio Suite

Each top-floor studio suite is big enough for a sofa that converts to a bed for a third guest. If you can tear yourself away from the stunning views over Egerton Gardens, you’ll find a cosy sitting area, an en-suite marble bathroom, and enough technology to remain in constant touch with the outside world. Or you might prefer to switch off and simply revel in the luxury.

We can delight you with our own mouthwatering menu, or help you choose from dozens of London’s best restaurants and a fine choice of ethnic cuisine in the surrounding area. Many nearby restaurants have Michelin stars above their doors and famous chefs in their kitchens.

Our own cosy dining room draws a regular and appreciative audience – people who like great food impeccably served in intimate surroundings. They come to us simply because they like the way we do things. If we don’t have what they want on the menu – and we have the ingredients to hand – we’ll cook whatever they want.

We’re also a popular location for traditional English afternoon tea. Egerton House afternoon teas are a local Knightsbridge institution, built on the generosity of the portions, the elegance of the surroundings, and the attentiveness of the service.

Another seemingly timeless institution is our head barman, Antonio Pizzuto. Antonio has spent 40 years perfecting his art, which is why his Martinis are quite simply the best in London. Under his stewardship, our hotel bar has become one of the hidden gems of the city – a word-of-mouth destination for those who like soft conversation in intimate surroundings.

Bars

One of the most discreet bars in central London, guests can choose from a wide selection of cocktails and light snacks. “two is not enough and three is too many” The ice cold famous Martini is mixed in front of each guest and is sure to satisfy. Impeccable service coupled with a beautifully relaxed atmosphere, it is certainly the place to unwind with your favourite tipple from our superb barman Antonio.

Eating In

Although there is no formal restaurant at The Egerton, guests enjoying its luxurious comfort can choose from the wide selection of options on our menu. From warming classics such as Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup to something more substantial such as Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak or Chef’s delicious chicken curry. Our chef and kitchen staff are flexible and helpful, and provided we have the ingredients will be delighted to prepare your favourite dish to order: please feel free to ask.
