To assist with the organisation of meetings, banquets or conferences, our highly qualified staff is always on hand to help with the finer details and the catering can be tailor-made to suit your requirements.

The Cellar
In 2000, world-famous chef Alain Ducasse set up his gastronomic restaurant at Hôtel Plaza Athénée and supervises all the catering to this day. Having worked alongside him, the sommelier Gerard Margeon has joined the Hotel’s team and now invites guests to master the arts of the dining table – the French way.

In September 2006, Hôtel Plaza Athénée’s cellar opened to the public and unveiled its secrets under the watchful eye of Gerard Margeon. The sommeliers offers the chance to taste a selection of the impressive 35,000 wine bottles, which include Château Cheval Blanc, Château Latour, Château Margaux Pétrus and Montrachet.

To broaden their knowledge, the wine-savvy will be able to inject more originality by introducing this as a motivational stay or a work seminar, allowing customers to explore the other side of the wine scene and find out some of Hôtel Plaza Athénée’s secrets.

Disabled Access

Spacious suite, costly fabrics, accent or cameo colours and magnificent floor-to-ceiling heights… The Eiffel Suite 361 is a typically Haussmannesque apartment with a very luxurious atmosphere.

The first room is a spacious lounge in which silky pinks add a touch of colour to the subtle pearl and silver greys. The silk curtains play with contrasting colours. The lampshades, cushions by Lesage and pink bergères complement each other beautifully, highlighting the reproduction furniture, the glass-top coffee table with a reverse-applied silver leaf design and deep, custom-made dark grey velvet sofas set opposite each other.

Then, your eyes are drawn to the superb silvered frame revealing the majestic Iron Lady in a living picture that changes with the time of day and the seasons. This is a unique, almost hypnotic sight.

A large bay window floods the room with light, a room that can be a place of work or a place of relaxation, depending on your requirements. If you’re working there is a fully-equipped office but the suite also includes a grand piano and a gaming table!

Suite 750 is a split level apartment; the terrace of which offers a 360 degree view over all of Paris; which naturally includes the majestic Eiffel Tower.

Located in the 7th floor of the hotel, the suite consists of a large entrance hall, sitting-room, bedroom and bathroom. Guests will also benefit from their own gym and sauna which is part of the suite and available for their sole use, giving guests the feeling that they are in their very own apartment on Avenue Montaigne.

The entrance hall leads into a large sitting-room, furnished with two sofas upholstered in beige velvet and embroidered with bronze thread. To the left, Ebony wood from Macassar hides a bar, the front of which doubles as agames table and bridge armchairs. Windows are decorated by sliding “Japanese” panels in striped silk and embroidered by Jean François Lesage. The sitting-room’s wall also conceals a large television screen within a big mirror, which is framed in art deco style under the glass.

In the large bedroom upstairs, the furniture is also of Macassar ebony and mahogany and boasts a set of double French doors. These are adorned with swathes of copper-coloured, silk curtains and lead out onto a large private terrace overlooking Paris.

Located in the 8th floor of the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris, Suite 888 consists of an entrance hall, large sitting-room, bedroom and a bathroom.

Macassar ebony and mahogany are the dominant woods in this Art deco Suite in shades of mauve and grey.

The very dense natural light of this particular floor can be dappled by blinds and linen curtains and silk double curtains. Jean- François Lesage’s pillows, which recall the velvet sofas, are embroidered with silver thread.

The television screen is completely integrated and incorporated into the immense mirror of the lounge of this prestigious Suite, which recovers a whole section of wall. On another wall, large black and white photos of Gilles Trillard dress the suite.

Located on the 8th floor of the famous Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, the Terrace Eiffel Suite offers a staggering and incomparable view of the Eiffel Tower and 180° panorama of the Paris skyline.

From the bedroom to the living room to the bathroom, all the rooms feature large picture windows with unique views of the majestic Eiffel Tower, which seems to be part of the furniture. However, thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the wall of glass in the bathroom can become opaque if desired, allowing either a view of the Eiffel Tower or complete privacy.

In Art Deco style, the decoration of the Eiffel Suite was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and the sky of Paris: sky-blue is reminiscent of the colour of the sky and chocolate and mole tones are the omnipresent colours of this suite. A mix of genuine Art Deco-style furniture and specially designed pieces characterises the furnishings of the Terrace Eiffel Suite, with rosewood, Macassar ebony and mahogany the three kinds of wood prevailing in this suite.

Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, a new vision on haute cuisine.
For its tenth anniversary, Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée restaurant goes back to the basics. According to Alain Ducasse, “we must restart from the beginning, where the true tastes are and let them express their strength and their delicay. The technique is here to reveal the flavor of nature. I have always done my best to tell this simple and fair story and today, I want to deliver its quintessence, at the Plaza Athénée”. Since October, one can indulge in Chef Christophe Saintagne’s plain and pure cuisine, which turns simple into good, with no unnecessary ingredients. Few pieces of Art de la Table, whether original creations by Pierre Tachon or precious artisanal Japanese pieces from Shinishiro Ogata, contribute to the restaurant revival. Haute couture for the interior decor : the four great screens are scattered with unique embroideries signed by Patrick Jouin.

Le Relais Plaza, located 21 avenue Montaigne, is just a few steps away from the Théâtre des Champs Élysées and is an established Parisian meeting place ‘par excellence’ where a prestigious clientele come and enjoy a casual moment.

With decor directly inspired by the liner, Le Normandie, Le Relais Plaza is a bistro chic offering a traditionally authentic cuisine with a modern twist. Designed and enhanced by Patrick Jouin, the Bar at the Plaza Athénée works hard to create paradoxes in its identity. The extensive use of wood and the high ceilings counterbalance the modernity of the sculpted glass bar. The tall tables and chairs, which are very “New York”, break up the layout of low tables and leather armchairs in the Lounge area, making this the ideal place for “your best cocktail experience”.

The red hours : Time has come for Luxury & Rock n’roll to show their true duality… Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10.00pm to 2.00am
At 11 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Plaza’s Bar comes alive with a new colour, a new visual identity, a new Artistic Manager and electro rock music. The international clientele loves these way-out evenings in the most Parisian of all the luxury hotels. Firstly the bar changes colour, from its iconic blue to a new vivid red. The ambiance also changes. Resident DJ Adrien Villanova takes the stage and operates the newly-installed DJ booth. The whole place is filled with electro rock thanks to a recently-upgraded sound system.

The Hotel Plaza Athénée offers for your business breakfasts an exceptional setting: a classical décor with a contemporary touch given by the talented designer Patrick Jouin. The team of our Pastry Chef Christophe Michalak, the 2005 World Pastry Champion prepares daily homemade pastries such as the Kugelhopf and the sugar tart to accompany your coffee, tea or hot chocolate. To add some vitamins to your breakfast, a selection of ‘exotic’ fruit juices like green apple or red fruit, are available among the traditional ones (orange and grapefruit juices).
