The Milestone offers an array of pampering, soothing, relaxing and rejuvenating treatments using the finest quality products from SOTHYS, an expert professional brand, exclusively available to beauty institutes and spas. SOTHYS consists of beauty programmes and high performance home treatments as well as a complete care range: face, body, sun treatments, make-up, men’s skin care and formulas combining well-being and technology for a double effect on body and mind.

If you prefer the privacy of your own bedroom we can easily organise a selection of professional relaxation therapies 24 hours a day – including massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, facials, manicures and pedicures, tanning and hair and make-up.

Health and Fitness

The hotel provides complimentary gym, sauna and resistance swimming pool facilities on site and is open to residents only.

Our gym is fully equipped with modern cardio vascular technology – including 1 Life-Fitness bike, 1 Life-Fitness treadmill, 1 Power Jog treadmill, 1 Concept Rower, 1 Life-Fitness stepping, 1 Abdominiser, mats and hand held free weights – en-suite changing rooms and direct lift access from bedroom floors, all located in a tranquil setting with fresh fruit, mineral water and magazines available. Pilates sessions can also be arrange in the Gym or in the privacy of some of our larger suites.

For solitary meditation and relaxation we can arrange an in-room yoga instructor or provide you with a yoga mat and exercise video for your convenience.

With the addition of the Resistance Pool, you can now exercise easily in the water. By swimming against a current generated by the pool itself, you can travel distances or measure your laps without actually moving too far but with all the same benefits. The pool is decorated with glass tiles and floor to ceiling glass screen partitions to ensure environmental controls and maintain a constant temperature.

Jogging routes are available with Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park directly opposite.

Our range of beautifully decorated venues includes al fresco-style dining in the tranquil privacy of the Conservatory or, for more formal affairs, banqueting in our elegant Windsor Suite. If you’re looking to host a cocktail reception, our flexible and friendly staff are only too happy to help you choose the setting, and with the expertise of our barman you can indulge in an exquisite selection of cocktails accompanied by fine canapés.

Weddings

The Milestone and weddings were made for each other. Ours is the perfect venue for an intimate event set in an ambiance of traditional British style and service, with an expert team of chefs, sommeliers, waiting staff and event organisers to put your mind at ease and prepare and present the happiest day of your life.

Every aspect of your wedding will be attended to with skill, style, and subtlety. The elegant and romantic Victorian magnificence of the hotel lends itself superbly to such events, its public areas decorated with fine ornaments and antiques which can be further dressed with professional floral displays matching the colours of the wedding party. Your choice of table dressings, menu and wines is equally important; we can cater for all tastes, and offer an extensive selection of fine wines and champagnes to complement the exquisite cuisine.

To keep your room looking pristine, the maid visits twice a day. Each time, she leaves a few special treats: home-made cookies, bonbons, tomorrow’s weather forecast, chilled mineral water, hand-picked seasonal fruits, complimentary newspapers, delicious canapés, candles in the bathroom – perhaps even a small book of poetry.

Superior Double

A Superior Double Room recalls the time when luxury and courtesy were a way of life for wealthy Londoners. This is a queen-bedded room filled with fine fabrics and antique furnishings, and enlivened by views over Kensington Palace Gardens, the courtyard, or our Conservatory area. No two rooms are alike. Each welcomes you with the soft embrace of stylish individuality.

Deluxe Twin or King Room

For more room and even more of the Milestone’s opulent fabrics and furnishings, choose a Deluxe Twin Room. We’ve created space for a desk and a small seating area and filled your luxurious bathroom with fragrant toiletries. If this feels like home, it’s because we’ve chosen the furniture and materials that we would choose to live with.

Deluxe Studio

A series of stunning decorative schemes such as Ascot, Botanical, Military, and Margaret Rose bring each Deluxe Studio to life. Each has a character of its own, each draws you into a private world of luxury, fantasy, and pampered seclusion. Here the maid comes twice a day, the technology is effortless, and a butler is on 24-hour call.

Suites

Junior Suite

Safari…Venetian…Viscount…Princess…Herlequin…Buckingham – there’s a Junior Suite to suit every occasion. Here, you can be decadently modern, unashamedly homely, or elegantly traditional. There are business facilities for those in a hurry, soft bathrobes and luxury toiletries for those who aren’t, and an invigorating glass of champagne for everyone on arrival.

Master Suites

Each Master Suite is a spectacular one-off, an ornate adventure in five-star luxury. Two have overhead galleries; one features a billiard table; another, a large dining area. Some have private balconies and jacuzzis; all have views over Kensington Palace and Gardens. To stay in a Master Suite is to say ‘no’ to everyday decor and run-of-the-mill hospitality.

Special rooms

Prince Albert Suite

A very spacious high ceiling suite with original leaded Victorian windows offering direct views over Kensington Palace and Gardens. This room features a beautiful King size four-poster bed and elegant seating area including a chaise longue. The Prince Albert Suite boasts a large bathroom with separate shower, jacuzzi and TV. Additionally this exquisite suite has an ornate balcony, which is perfect for entertaining.
Average room size = 53.5 sq. metres.

The Regency Suite

This spacious suite is on two levels. Stairs take you up to a king-sized four-poster bed and magnificent views over Kensington Palace. There’s luxury at every turn: stunning silk brocades of pale green, warm and elegant mahogany, original Dali sketches, and an irresistible two-person, open-plan copper bathtub that invites a leisurely shared soak.

Dining at The Milestone is an event as much as a meal. Wherever you are – the ornate Cheneston’s with its fine mahogany furniture, the chic Conservatory, or the split-level Stables Bar – there’s more than enough time for relaxed conversation and magnificent food. And inspired by the fact that our front door is virtually within Champagne cork popping range of Kensington Gardens, why not enjoy our famous ‘picnic in the park’.

Our chef, Ryan O’Flynn, and his team make their mark serving a fine cuisine with an accent on modern British dishes. They balance their natural creativity with a superb range of traditional comfort foods and a willingness to cook something special just for you. If they have the ingredients to hand (organic and, wherever possible, locally sourced), they’ll rustle up exactly what you want – when you want.

There’s a fine choice of wine too: more than 400 vintages, many of them personally chosen by our Head Sommelier, Lia Poveda. Passion for fine wines and gourmet food are the driving force behind everything we serve at The Milestone Hotel.

Cheneston’s

Deriving its name from an early spelling of Kensington, Cheneston’s is our intimate restaurant offering the finest cuisine with an emphasis on modern British. As one would expect, we have an extensive wine list to accompany your meal or we may even be able to cater for a specific request, just ask. Just off of the main restaurant area we can cater for small private gatherings of up to 8 people in the adjoining Oratory for something a little extra special.

Immaculately presented with fine mahogany furniture, brightly lit with natural daylight pouring in from the leaded windows in the original style complementing the fine Victorian architecture of the building, you will feel transported from the busy London streets to a rich, comfortable environment in which to relax over lunch or dinner.

Fine Wines

You’d expect fine wine to be of first importance at the Milestone, and you won’t be disappointed when you look through the fabulous list we’ve put together for the enjoyment of our guests.

Naturally you’ll find a superb selection of the established names of the Old World, the time-honoured clarets and Burgundies, the majestic wines of Italy and Spain, the immaculate vintages that bear such magical names as Montrachet and d’Yquem. Add to these an equally fine representation of the great New World wines that have become classics in their own right, and you arrive at a cellar full of splendour for anyone wishing to sample the loftiest peaks of winemaking. But you’ll also discover a list that includes their more down-to-earth neighbours, together with a fascinating variety of delights from less celebrated regions – wines from Mexico, Greece, Georgia, Slovakia, Moldova – all equally worth investigating, and all personally selected by our sommelier.

At Red Carnation we have a passion for wine, and for helping others derive the same enjoyment from it as we do. At the Milestone, this passion becomes a pleasure for all our guests.

Stables Bar

A great city such as London offers few pleasures more satisfying than an intimate, cosy bar, a place in which you can relax, meet friends, and slough off the stresses of the day. Naturally, if you’re staying at the Milestone you won’t need de-stressing, but we can still offer you your very own ‘little place around the corner’ in the club-like ambiance of our Stables Bar.

So named after its original use as a carriage house, Stables is one of London’s great hideaways. Here Markus our bartender demonstrates his expertise in mixing martinis and purveying everyone’s favourite tipple from the wide choice of wines and spirits, accompanied by his surprisingly satisfying range of savoury nibbles. And, as with all the best bars, you’re free to be as convivial or as private as you wish, because for as long as you’re here, this is your place.

Park Lounge

The Park Lounge is a warm and cosy retreat, just right for Afternoon Tea, with an open fireplace and sumptuous comfort with ‘sink and stay’ armchairs and sofas. The views of Kensington Gardens allows an escape to the country, making it hard to believe you are in the heart of the capital.

This is where the Knightsbridge shoppers gather by the fireside to enjoy the grandest of afternoon teas.

At other times of the day guests can relax in the lounge with a good book or magazine accompanied by a fine beverage, as well as meet with friends, family and colleagues.

Conservatory

For that feeling of “al fresco” dining, why not try our bright and airy Conservatory where we can host an informal lunch for small groups of up to 8 people, pre-theatre drinks or a delightful brunch at the weekend. Guests are also invited to take breakfast in the sunlit spot.

This setting is also a perfect place to enjoy that timeless classic; English Afternoon tea with all the trimmings and ceremony it deserves.
